You might not be able to take the country out of the girl, but you can certainly update her wardrobe. One of the biggest benefits of moving to California, aside from my surfer boyfriend, fish tacos and craft beer, is the inspiration that warm weather gives you. It’s funny how scraping ice from your car can completely dictate what style of shoes you wear. But just because I now own more shifts and sheaths than Princess Kate, doesn’t mean I’ve lost my roots. My cowboy boots are always armed and ready and my hats, well, you know how much I love a good hat.
